Henry Gorman is a PhD candidate in history at Vanderbilt University, a trained mathematician, and (starting in September 2019) a rotational associate at D.E. Shaw and Company.  This blog explores his thoughts on a variety of intellectual, political, and aesthetic issues, many of which relate to his abiding interest in representations of the world and how they reflect or diverge from the territories they represent.
